Following the All-Star Break, the Cubs play 10 of their remaining 14 games in July on the road. After July 23rd, the Cubs do not play any more games against teams in the NL West.
Starting August 1st, the Cubs will play 36 of their final 53 games against the NL Central. Also in August, the Cubs will play 19 of their 28 games that month at home, with 12 of those 19 against the NL Central.
Starting September 1st, the Cubs will play 16 of their final 25 games on the road. Of the 25 games, all but 4 will be against the NL Central., and the other 4 will be at the NY Mets.
Of their remaining 67 games, 33 of them are against teams with a sub .500 record at the All-Star break. They also only have 7 off days the rest of the season, and one of those is this Thursday.
At the All-Star break, the Cubs were 57-38. If they go .500 the rest of the way (34-33), they will finish with a record of 91-71. To beat that, the Cardinals will have to go 39-27, and the Brewers will have to go 40-27. BTW, if the Cubs go 43-24, they'll have 100 victories for the first time since 1935.
The Cubs play the Cardinals 3 times in August, all at home, and 6 times in September, with 3 at Wrigley and 3 at Busch. The Cubs play the Brewers 4 times in July, all in Milwaukee, 0 times in August, and 6 times in September, with 3 at Wrigley and 3 at Miller Park.
