What they're NOT reporting is the fact that the standard of living, and living conditions in Mexico are not as high as they are here. And, no, that's not a jab at the Mexican people or government. It's simply a fact that we are better prepared here in this country to deal with these kinds of things.
I understand the need to take precautions. But when does too much become too much? There are parents in this area holding their kids out of school because there's been one documented case in the entire state. Not a death, just a confirmed case of N1H1.
Personally, I'm not worried about it. What I AM worried about is the fact that we have 14 weekends booked back-to-back for the band and I'm wondering if our attendance is going to be affected by all this. Over the past year, there hasn't been a show that we've played where the house wasn't packed to the rafters. I'm wondering if that little streak will be broken.
