If I had to wager a guess on Theriot, he was given the day off yesterday to rest, got pissed.....and punched a locker.
The guy doesn't want to sit. He wants to play. Which is the main reason he made it to this level when every "expert" around said he'd be nothing more than a journeyman minor leaguer with a few cups of coffee here and there.

HMM did you say anything like that last weekend???You are 1/2 game in first and we are 4 1/2 games ahead so if you lose and Twins win you are in second,if we

no, I certainly didn't...but surprisingly, neither did you - you were much quieter with the cubs winning than you are with them losing.
and whether I said it or not, the fact remains - sox starters >>>> cubs starters (notice the four?) sox bullpen >>>>>>>>> cubs bullpen. I do so look forward to your eventual september crumble. regardless of your best record in baseball, the cubs have repeatedly proven that that matters not. probably about 12 times over 100 years (again, I'm not a stats man). |
