I found this particular stat kind of odd.
In the entire history of the Chicago Cubs, only 3 players have hit 2 home runs in the same inning. The odd thing is that they're all from the modern era. Mark Bellhorn Sammy Sosa And now Jim Edmonds.

Marquis has battled through the 5th...this looks like a game that the BP will have to preserve...no guarantees as hot as the Sox are hitting lately...but, we
are into THIER BP too...so this looks to be a 14-10 kind of game...

another ABF that is both a Cub and Sux fan(well at least thats what he says ) so why not be a Cub fan .

You know it cracks me up when people say that.
Not only are you talking about the team with the best record in all of baseball. Not only are you talking about the team that's spanked your asses twice in a row in this 3 game set...... But you're also talking about the team that's whipped your asses the last FIVE times they've met. Just in case you forgot about that broomwork the Cubs broke out on the southside last year. So if the Cubs "suck", what does that say about the White Sox.....who can't seem to beat them?

Someone really needs to tell him that if you get your ass kicked by a team FIVE TIMES IN A ROW, then disrespect them in your interview, you not only look lame, you look weak and unintelligent. Keep adding that fuel on the fire, Oz! I don't know how the Cubs could have more incentive to score more than 9 runs in an inning tomorrow, but that's a good start!

Spent all day at a wedding yesterday. - listened on the radio on the way there to the the 9 run inning. Took most of the trip from Aurora to Chicago Heights.
Looks like Edmunds wants to be accepted by Cubs fans. He needs to have a game like this against the Deadbirds to really get over the hump.
Late at the wedding the DJ fired up "Go, Cubs, Go" and we rocked the hall with only about 2 guys booing us. BTW the triplets made beeeeyoutiful flower girls.  (and they get to do
it again in September at my son's wedding)

TJ the Cubs suck comments don't bother me at all - let'em weep.
What really gets me is reading a Brewers site and seeing fans say the Cubs won't win it because, are you ready for this ... They're still the Cubs. Now this coming from the fans of a team that has had NO playoff appearances since moving to the NL, completely choked last season so that the Cubs (oh that's right the Cubs) could pass them by, has had exactly 2 playoff appearances in their history (1 coming in a strike shortened split-season), but has had 1 WS appearance (which they lost.) And THEY are saying the Cubs are still the Cubs.

Yes, it does validate the statement because regardless of the time it's been since the Cubs won the World Series....the cubs have actually WON the World
Series.
The Brewers have NOT. If the White Sox fans want to bring up 2005, at least there's some backbone and merit there. What do the Brewers have to go on????
